    Innovation, Incubation and Linkages


    Prologue

    As per the provisions of Maharashtra Public Universities Act’2016, the Director of Innovation, Incubation and Linkages is member-secretary to the Board of National and International Linkages, Board of Innovation, Incubation and Enterprise and Board of Research. Further as per the Uniform Statute No 4 of 2019, the Director, I. I. & L. is also responsible for scheduling and conducting meetings of the Board of Deans and thereafter ensuring action taken on the decisions so made.

    As per the specified provisions of Maharashtra Public Universities Act’2016 under section 51(1), Board of National and International Linkages is expected to cultivate, establish, maintain and strengthen the link of the university with premier national and international universities and institutions.

    As per the specified provisions of Maharashtra Public Universities Act’2016 under section 53(1), Board of Innovation, Incubation and Enterprise is responsible for creation and cultivation of an enabling environment to propagate the concept of innovation and to convert the innovative ideas into working models through a process of incubation which shall finally lead to the creation of enterprise.

    As per the specified provisions of Maharashtra Public Universities Act’2016 under section 59(1), Board of Research is expected to cultivate, promote and strengthen research activities and also to plan, co-ordinate, supervise and to raise finances for research activities in university departments, colleges and recognized institutions.

    As per the specified provisions of Maharashtra Public Universities Act’2016 under section 36(1), Board of Deans is expected to co-ordinate, oversee, implement and to supervise the academic activities of the university. It shall be responsible to plan the development of the university in academics, research and development, entrepreneurship, intellectual property rights, incubation of industries and linkages with industries for integrated planning. It shall also plan, monitor, guide and coordinate under-graduate and post-graduate academic programmes and development of affiliated colleges. The Director, I. I. & L. is to prepare the minutes of the meeting and shall proceed with the implementation of the resolutions of the Board of Deans.

    About Us

    About GuG Incubation Center (TRICEF)

    TRICEF is Social and Business Incubation Center which promotes the innovations and incubate them for start up to become successful entrepreneur by providing them funding, workspace and mentoring. This Center will also provide a platform to any citizen from within the university region, irrespective of their educational background. At TRICEF, our goal is to make aware the individuals at the grass root level to get through the initial phase.

    Overview

    Established by GuG, to promote individuals in their initial phase to create startups focusing on creating the impact in ecosystem. It provides initial support through mentoring, prototype grant and incubation support. TRICEF has been funded by Gondwana University, Gadchiroli (GuG) and Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSINs) to scale up its activities.

    To facilitate innovation, creativity and incubation amongst students, alumni and faculties leading to social and business entrepreneurship by providing infrastructural, scientific, technical and marketing support.

    Infrastructure

    Physical (Area in sq. ft.)

    1) Existing Work Space in Administrative Building – 370 sq. ft.

    2) STRC Block B – Bamboo Model Production Unit– 3900 sq.ft.

    3) Department of Innovation & Incubation in Examination Building - 900 sq. ft.

    4) Existing Total Work Space – 5170 sq. ft.

    Virtual

    1. Data Center: Hyper Converged Infrastructure, Smart Racks, Switches, WAP, Firewall, Backup Server and Passive components, Cost of the Project - Rs. 2.50 Cr.

    Permanent Infrastructure

    Envisaged to allocate approx. 15 acres out of stipulated 204 acres of land on primary campus at mouja Adpalli to house the Incubation Center (TRICEF).

    2.0 Start-up Program

    TRICEF provides Physical or Virtual support upto 3 years for start-up from different fields. For early-stage innovative ideas, TRICEF shall provide 3 months pre-incubation program.

    3.0 Stakeholder Engagement Program

    This program is specifically designed for incubating Gram Sabhas from across university region at the place of their seat. Herein concept of Community Entrepreneurship shall be nurtured based on Hub (TRICEF) and Spoke (Gram Sabhas) Model.

     

    4.0 Rural Digital Entrepreneur

    Historically, the minor forest produce has been a primary source of livelihood for the rural and tribal people and that the geographic barriers of these people have prevented them from realizing their price discovery. Therefore, it is herein this unique program is designed featuring bottom-up approach in which villagers, farmers, farm producing organizations, self-help groups, artisans shall be facilitated and empowered by these Rural Digital Entrepreneur for Online marketing of their produce (primarily agriculture and MFP related products) and other intermediary products through their mobiles. For this, an online platform, MarketMirchi shall be engaged for direct linking to many B2B, B2C Buyers/Brokers/Traders via their smartphones.

    5.0 Workshop/Training

    TRICEF intends to provide educational/entrepreneurial training/workshops on latest trends and technologies. Any individual (Locals, Student, faculty, Industry, school students and housewives) can attend the program. Workshops available on latest technologies and on demand topics including technical & non-technical topic for all subjects/disciplines which will help them in getting good opportunities in Industry in terms of future aspects as well help them in updating their knowledge with the current technology.

    6.0 TRICEF Fellow

    General Terms and Conditions

    1. Any candidate having the age group 21-28 years.
    2. Candidate should be graduate from any discipline. Candidate with relevant PG degree or professional diploma would have an added advantage.
    3. Fresh candidate or having work experience are eligible. Full time internship or articleship or apprenticeship as part of professional courses will be considered as experience.
    4. Candidate should have basic proficiency in Marathi language, ability to work on computer and internet. The sufficient knowledge of English and Hindi is desirable.
    5. Fellows can work part time or full time depending on their choice.
    6. Fellows successfully completing fellowship of 11 months will be awarded with a certificate.
    7. Program does not assure job after completion of the 11 months tenure.
    8. The fellows may need to work extra hours and travel as per requirements of his assignments.
    9. No accommodation will be provided to fellows.

     

    7.0 TRICEF Internship

    TRICEF intends to provide the internship to School Students, College Students, Professionals, Locals and Women. Internship will help individuals in updating their knowledge with the current technology and live projects.
